Refractories supply chain management
HarbisonWalker International (HWI), the largest supplier of refractory products and services in North America, has announced Michael D Van Hill as Vice President, Supply Chain.
Mr Van Hill oversees all supply chain-related functions across the company’s international network, including customer service, demand and supply planning, transportation and logistics operations, as well as HWI’s 30 global sourcing centres and warehouses.
Michael Van Hill (pictured) brings nearly 20 years of progressive experience in supply chain, quality and continuous improvement. Most recently, he was Vice President of Supply Chain Operations and Operational Excellence at Thyssenkrupp Industrial Services.
There, he was responsible for supply chain strategy, operations and operational excellence for three Thyssenkrupp NA business segments: Tesla, FCA and Thyssenkrupp Elevator.
His leadership responsibilities encompassed more than 50 sites, including 19 distribution centres, 15 supply chain/fulfillment centres, five transportation hubs and all contract service sites.
