As a global player with production activities in 14 countries on four continents and sales in more than 150 countries, Şişecam increased its consolidated net sales to TRY40.2 billion in the first half of 2022. International sales made up 62% of the total sales and investments in the same period reached TRY2.8 billion.

Şişecam CEO Görkem Elverici commented on the company’s results: “The first half of 2022 was challenging on a global scale, with the effects of macroeconomic and geopolitical risks the world faced. High inflation, rising costs and disruptions related to the supply chain continued to change the way how the businesses are operated. Despite these challenges, Şişecam, a strong, global player in glass and chemicals industries, continued its growth journey uninterruptedly thanks to its major transformation move covering all of its activities and functions. Our adaptation capability, deep-rooted experience, strong risk management muscles and sound investment decisions empowered our solid financial performance. While getting one step closer to the targets we set for the end of the year, we created value for our shareholders and also contributed to the growth of the sectors that we provide inputs. We will continue to produce and create sustainable value for all our stakeholders in the long view with our business processes and plans managed by shared wisdom.”

We continue to operate full capacity in our production facilities in 14 countries on four continents. With the contributions of our investments, we are committed to almost doubling our growth in the next five years.”
