A major investment project has been confirmed by Grodno Glassworks in Belarus, involving the creation of a glass container production facility in Auls.

With the capability to produce standard and lightweight coloured bottles, the operation is scheduled for completion in 2022. It is expected to overcome supply shortages in the local market and will substitute high import volumes.

Creating 126 jobs, the project is expected to involve the introduction of resource-saving and environmental technologies, including the use of electric glass melting.
