Electric melting system specialist completes major investment

With the recent construction of its latest production hall, Gösen, Germany-based Bock Energietechnik GmbH has expanded its production footprint by another 400m². To meet increased customer demand for electrode holders, the company has also invested in a spinner CNC milling machine and expanded its welding capabilities.

Bock Energietechnik develops standard and custom-made electrode holders for the glass industry and manufactures them in-house. Recently acquired sheet metal processing facilities also enable the company to manufacture tailor-made cooling water systems and protective coverings for electronic components.

Active in the glass industry for 40 years, the company’s founder is graduate engineer Werner Bock, the father of the current owner, who still provides knowhow to the family business as a consultant. Günther Bock, a state-certified glassworks technician, has been managing the company’s fortunes since 2016.

With the additional production areas and modern machines, Bock expects to offer customers enhanced service levels in the future. Construction of the latest production hall will create more jobs and increase the company’s productivity.
