Emerging aperitif brand elects Allied for glass production

Handcrafted in the Surrey Hills, Sipello is an opulent British Aperitif that marries a gooseberry-led blend of British ingredients such as rhubarb and chuckleberry with sustainably sourced botanicals from around the world.

Tim Simmons, founder of Sipello required a glass manufacturer that had a history of partnering with brands and growing with them, who had enthusiasm, passion and a desire to innovate and could develop glass packaging to match the elegance of his new brand.

Allied Glass, working alongside design agency Kingdom & Sparrow, were the perfect collaborator.

The core of the design brief was to create glass packaging that would emulate an established international craft brand yet have the confidence to stand out against other major blue-chip brands.

The art deco inspiration comes with a floral twist as Sipello’s founder insisted on incorporating lilies and irises into the design in honour of his daughters, named Lily and Iris.

Allied’s glass design and manufacturing capabilities ensured the development of a perfectly crafted bottle, intricately embossed with the floral design.

Nolan Kane, Allied’s Head of Immerging Brands, says: “Stand out on shelf is key to any brand, especially one that is unique to the spirits category. Tim’s product is as distinctive and intriguing as the art deco inspired bottle design that the talented team at Kingdom and Sparrow collaborated with us to create. Starting with a brand from the ground floor is always exciting and we look forward to partnering with Sipello through its’ brand journey over the coming years.”

Since its’ launch, the bottle has been a hugely successful winning World Brand Society Gold award, the eccentric art deco look truly emulates both the brand and the drink within.

I think we really achieved what we set out to do, I think the bottle is stunning. The glass is of exceptional quality and the details are fantastic and beautifully reflect the remarkable quality of the liquid,” said Mr Simmons.
