Excellence and leadership merit personal award recognition

Casse Rose, Director of Quality for O-I's Americas North operations, has been named as a recipient of a Manufacturing Institute annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Production (STEP) Ahead Award in the USA. She has been selected for demonstrating excellence and leadership.

"Being part of O-I has given me tremendous opportunities professionally and personally" she commented, having worked at O-I for 21 years. "I have worked at five different US plants and held various plant positions including Shift Supervisor, Line Leader, Quality Manager and Plant Manager. It's a challenging and rewarding industry and I am honoured to receive this recognition."

The STEP Ahead Awards are part of the larger STEP Ahead initiative, launched to examine and promote the role of women in manufacturing industry. The overall programme includes recognition, research and leadership for attracting, advancing and retaining strong female talent.

"Casse is well deserving of this recognition” said Kate Murawa, Director of O-I's Global Talent Management. “She leads by example and supports others in their growth and development. Despite an industry-wide gap in the number of women in manufacturing, O-I has seen an uptick of extremely talented women joining our team."
