Looking for independent thinkers in the glass industry
Glass Futures is supporting a UK Government initiative that is looking to learn from the glass industry leaders of tomorrow – today.
The ISCF Transforming Foundation Industries challenge is launching a Future Leaders’ Group and is looking to recruit an enthusiastic group of people in their early careers to provide guidance and help shape the £150 million Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.
The Future Leaders’ Group will provide the challenge team with a diverse range of current perspectives to enrich the overall ISCF thinking.
It will consist of approximately 10-15 Early Career Professionals (up to 10 years from finishing last studies) who work in one of the foundation industries including glass, academia or industry. ISCF is looking for independent thinkers, who can be confident in challenging activities and invest their energy into industry transformation.
“This is an ideal opportunity for any forward-thinking and ambitious individual to really contribute to the future of the UK’s foundation industries” a Glass Futures spokesperson commented. “We would like to see the glass industry fully represented in this forum and contribute to help shape strategic support for the sector, its members and stakeholders. It is important that we are part of the process that is going to help shape the sector’s support for the foundation industries; that could include anything from future skills gaps, scoping competitions to meet sector needs, or identifying current research and technologies, while engaging with foundation industries at all levels.”
