Myanmar container plant plans
Leading energy drinks producer Osotspa has announced plans for a greenfield glass container manufacturing project in Myanmar. The owner of Siam Glass Industry Co Ltd in Thailand, Osotspa has established the joint venture beverage initiative with Loi Hein Co Ltd, Myanmar’s largest drinking water and beverage business.
Named after the town where the factory will be located, Siriam will involve an investment of some $40 million, including the installation of a 300 tonnes/day furnace and four production lines. It will be the only glass bottle plant in Myanmar to produce both amber and flint ware.
