In line with the group’s ongoing strategy to sharpen its focus on strategic substrates, Nampak is to sell its South African glass container business to Isanti Glass 1 for an estimated R1.5 billion. The manufacturing facility at Roodekop, Gauteng features three furnaces and nine production lines, satisfying approximately 25% of market demand.

Isanti Glass 1 is 60%-owned by the Kwande Capital investment company established in 2010, while SABSA Holdings, the holding company of South African Breweries, has a 40% stak
