IS production equipment rights secured

Following the closure of IS Maintenance Ltd, D A Oldfield Ltd has secured the rights to manufacture ISM products, ensuring continuity of supply for existing customers. Barnsley, UK-based IS Maintenance had manufactured IS machines and feeder mechanisms for the glass container industry since the 1970s. Operating from premises in Elvington, near York, D A Oldfield Ltd specialises in the manufacture of feeders and IS machine spare parts, as well as ware handling equipment.

As part of the purchase process, intellectual property associated with the ISM products was acquired from Stavely Cast Products of Sheffield, who had purchased all patterns. This allows the same castings to be used in the manufacturing process. In addition, the rights to all drawings, apertures cards, customer information and hard drives have been secured. Separately, existing feeder stock and spare parts were acquired via the official receiver.

“We are now integrating the information in to our systems at Elvington, following up unfinished customer orders and gaining new customers in the process” a D A Oldfield statement confirmed.
