Şişecam’s latest product development for the "CareforNext" sustainability strategy is Turkey's lightest mineral water bottle. The environmentally friendly bottle is specially designed to be lightweight compared to other bottles on the market. Production of this innovative product requires less energy and raw materials while reducing carbon dioxide emissions related to manufacturing and transportation.

The 110g water bottle creates 15% less production-based carbon dioxide compared to a 130g standard mineral water bottle. Cost-benefits are gained by reducing the number of trucks needed for transport, an approximate 14% decrease is projected in carbon emissions per kilometre.

Şişecam aims to help save the planet with its innovative glass packaging designs and reducing product weight, by lowering energy use and decreasing greenhouse gas emissions in production and transport. In addition, the company seeks to transform people's lives by offering sustainable products that meet the changing needs of the planet and society.

The innovative mineral water bottles, produced at Şişecam Yenişehir Glass Packaging Plants, are now found on grocery store shelves in an enticing emerald green colour. Already offered for sale in Turkey, the ultra-light bottles will be presented to global markets in 2023.
