2022 Conference on Glass Problems call for papers

The organisers of the 83rd Conference on Glass Problems are inviting engineers, educators, students and solutions providers working with aspects of glass manufacturing to submit abstracts for this leading industry event next year.

Broad topics of interest include: Glass melting and quality; combustion and heat transfer; refractories; process control, sensors and Industry 4.0; modelling of glass melting and processing; raw materials, batching, cullet and recycling; forming issues and container customisation; safety, emissions, environment and respirable silica; sustainability, carbon reduction and energy management; furnace design and reconstruction; furnace life extension and maintenance; and new topics relevant to glass manufacturing.

Interested parties are invited to submit abstracts by 14 January 2022.

Presenters are required to submit their paper for the conference proceedings publication.

With Glass Worldwide as official journal, the 83rd GPC is scheduled for 31 October–3 November 2022 in Columbus, Ohio. In the meantime, the 82nd annual GPC, will take place on 1–4 November 2021 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, bringing together glass manufacturers and suppliers worldwide to exchange innovations and problem solutions.
