Within the framework of sustainability projects and aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative approved to prevent heating above 1.5°C, Vidrala at its plant in Castellar del Vallés, Barcelona, has just contracted Linde Material Handling to replace the thermal trucks that currently operate in the finished product warehouse with electric trucks with the highest energy efficiency standards.

Castellar will have a 100% electric park in the first quarter of 2023, reducing CO2 emissions by 300 tons.

This is in addition to the Vidrala plant in Marinha Grande, Portugal, by the end of 2022 this site will have a 100% electric truck park, both in the plant and in the finished product warehouse located a few kilometres away.
