Deadline extended for Glass Focus Awards 2020

Deadline extended for Glass Focus Awards 2020

The deadline to submit entries for this year’s Glass Focus Awards has been extended to 2 October.

The extra time allows for nominations of people, products and initiatives that will help to celebrate glass as a material and the supply chain that supports it. British Glass is looking for bottles and building designs, outstanding apprentices, sustainable and safe practices and innovations from across the industry.

The categories for the 2020 awards are: Design of the year – container; Design of the year – flat; Innovative solution; Health and safety action; Sustainable practice; Rising Star; Strengthening business through people; and Marketing impact.

All British Glass members entering any category will also be put forward for the title of British Glass Company of the Year.

The Glass Focus Awards are the perfect opportunity to showcase to each other and the world the very best of our industry” commented Dave Dalton, British Glass CEO. “Now more than ever, it’s important to look to each other for best practice, novel and innovative ways we can overcome the challenges we face as a collective. We are excited to see the projects and products worked on throughout the year but because of the level of uncertainty that still exists in the current circumstances, we’ve decided to extend the deadline for entries to this year’s awards. We hope that this gives companies from across the sector who have begun their entries or even considered entering ample time to complete them.

The virtual Glass Focus Awards 2020 ceremony takes place on 12 November.
