Furnace Solutions 2022 – full programme announced

The full programme has been announced for the Furnace Solutions conference to take place on 8-9 June 2022 at the Totally Wicked Stadium in St Helens, UK.

On behalf of the Melting Technical Committee of the event organisers the Society of Glass Technology, Nigel Longshaw said: “I think we are all looking forward to meeting in person once again after three years’ apart. This year we have strong papers focusing on the decarbonisation of the glass industry, with first time speakers and delegates coming from the UK, Europe and the USA”.

Highlights include presentations from melting experts representing BOC, CelSian, Electroglass, Emisshield, Encirc, FIC, Glass Futures, GTS, NSG, Simpson Combustion and Stara Glass.

Proceedings will also include the presentation of ‘The Michael Garvey Award’, courtesy of Guardian Industries Corporation. Online registration is now available at https://sgt.org/event/FurnaceSolutions

With an online event having been held in 2021, the last face to face Furnace Solutions Conference was in 2019 and was deemed a great success by delegates, speakers, sponsors and the organisers.

Attendees visited from far and wide, including the USA, Israel, Turkey and Western Europe, with over a third representing 15 glass producers.

Glass Worldwide is a supporter of Furnace Solutions 2022 and current sponsors include AMETEK Land, Calumite, DSF Refractories & Minerals, FIC, Fives, Global Combustion Systems, Guardian Glass, HFT, Parkinson-Spencer Refractories, Stara Glass and TECO Group.
