Murano: Upcycling Glass comes alive.

A virtual view of the exhibition Murano: Upcycling Glass is in the Brandolini room of the Murano Glass Museum.

About 40 works created by 15 master glassmakers from the island of Murano with only recycled glass donated by Consorzio Promovetro Murano and a single goal: to raise public awareness on the issues of glass recycling, the more conscious use of raw materials and sustainability in a completely new way.

The exhibition promoted by the Consorzio Promovetro Murano and curated by Matteo Silverio, Murano: Upcycling Glass is part of Venice Glass Week. All the works are born from a challenge given to the master glassmakers of the island, who used to working with a completely different glass, which has combined, for the first time, the tradition of glass techniques with the secondary material with surprising and original results.

Murano: Upcycling Glass is in the Brandolini room of the Murano Glass Museum until January 6, 2024, and for those who cannot physically participate, a virtual tour is available:
