Two member companies of the Vetropack Group have received national recognition for their efforts in the areas of business excellence and sustainability in recent weeks.

Vetropack Nemšová takes sustainability to the heart of its business and this has been recognised at a national level. The factory in Slovakia was confirmed as an investor of the year for 2020 by the magazine Trend, with an award presented to Boris Sluka, General Manager. 

Investments in new furnaces and production lines in the last two years have brought not only an increase in furnace capacity but important energy savings and thanks to the latest technology, a reduction in CO2 emissions.

Similarly, Vetropack Straža also ended 2020 with prestigious recognition for business excellence in Croatia, winning the Golden Marten award. 

Chairman of Vetropack Straža, Tihomit Premuzak received the Golden Marten statue for business results achieved in 2019 and the company’s contribution to the development of the Croatian economy overall, in the category of large-sized companies. “You can imagine how happy and proud we all are” he confirmed. “This is the best recognition for all of us, for our glass factory which is celebrating its 160th birthday. The award came at the best moment. It motivates Straža employees to overcome this difficult year and after the crisis, to try to repeat the results from the record breaking year 2019.”
