Saint-Gobain Signs a Renewable Electricity Supply Agreement With Alpiq Energie

Alpiq Energie France are supplying renewable electricity to Saint-Gobain in a 14 year PPA deal.

Saint-Gobain has signed a 14-year renewable electricity supply agreement (Power Purchase Agreement or PPA) with Alpiq Energie France. This contract covers the purchase of electricity generated by two solar farms located in Moselle (East of France). Alpiq France will supply over 500GWh of solar electricity over the course of the PPA.

The agreement will secure 11 Saint-Gobain plants in France with 100% solar electricity.

The contract is the third PPA signed by Saint-Gobain in France. Combined, the three projects are expected to reduce Saint-Gobain's scope 2 emissions in France by nearly 10% in 2024 compared with 2017 levels.

Alpiq Energie France offers all-in-one solutions, including in its complete supply offer the PPAs resulting from its selective sourcing strategy with a panel of producers.
