Sisecam Signs the Women's Empowerment Principles
Sisecam is steadily advancing towards its goal of ranking among the world's top three players in its main fields of activity. Sustainability is the focal point of the company's business operations on this journey. Considering gender equality as integral to its inclusive corporate culture, it has signed the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
As part of its sustainability strategy CareforNext, Sisecam prioritizes equality, diversity and inclusion in its value chain as part of its commitments under the pillar of 'Empower Society.' The company adapts its factory standards to women in order to support their participation in the workforce in all areas of its operations. In addition, it aims to inspire women in managerial roles with mentoring activities and accelerate the improvement of women's effectiveness with training courses under its "Women Expression" programme. There is a commitment to boosting the percentage of female employees at the company from 24.2% in 2023 to over 25% in a short period of time. As a signatory to the WEPs, this will further emphasize the importance of gender equality for its entire ecosystem and use its resources to make a difference.
