State-of-the-art logistics centre inaugurated at Stoelzle Częstochowa

The Stoelzle Glass Group’s Polish production site Stoelzle Częstochowa has celebrated the opening of its new logistics centre.

At the event, which was attended by the President of Częstochowa, Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, the CEO of Stoelzle Częstochowa, Artur Wołoszyn explained this important investment to the audience: “Our new logistics centre is the largest and most modern facility of its kind in the region of Częstochowa and also within our Stoelzle network. We are proud to have completed this project in just seven months, with an investment of €5.5 million in total. On an area of 20,400m² we will now be able to store more than 50,000 pallets and handle truck loading utmost efficiently via 10 ramps, 2 loading docks, and a loading gate.”

The logistics centre, which has been planned by the local Architecture Studio "Forma" uses an innovative and automated lighting system based on both dusk and motion sensors, ensuring the highest safety standards.

In order to become even more sustainable from the energy point of view, the roof of the building has been adapted for the installation of photovoltaic panels.

The new warehouse will significantly improve the efficiency and safety of the manufactured products, and will allow Stoelzle to meet the steadily increasing demands for glass packaging.

Mr August Grupp, Head of Business Unit Spirits Stoelzle Glass Group, confirmed that this modern logistics centre has been one of the milestones in the company’s development strategy set up in 2020, which will be followed by a €40 million investment comprising a furnace rebuild and expansion, as well as the modernisation of several production lines in mid-2022.
