Grenzebach New Innovations to Power the Factories of Tomorrow

The biennial Grenzebach Automationfest marks the German-based company’s 35th anniversary in the US. The headquarters near Atlanta, Georgia houses approximately 110 employees and is one of five locations in the country.

While Automationfest allows us to showcase the latest innovations, most importantly it convenes the brightest minds who are leading the next generation of manufacturing,” said John Fluker, President and CEO of Grenzebach Corporation. “We are a true Journey Partner to our clients – from the beginning, through the life of the products we engineer and manufacture to support their business, and beyond. To achieve this, we must advocate for highly skilled labour through public policy initiatives.”

Mr Fluker moderated a panel discussion on artificial intelligence powering the factories of tomorrow with presenters, Knudt Flor (SC State University College of Charleston), Sean Madhavaraman (Georgia Tech - AI Program - GA-AIM) and Anna Kyriakidou (Grenzebach Hellas) the software development part of Grenzebach.

Key takeaways from this panel included: artificial Intelligence should be targeted, and the use should know what problems it is trying to solve; and with companies effectively utilizing automation to address manpower shortages, utilization of AI with the data that is collected will become necessary in order to maintain competitive positions.
